A Motown star who never became a star. Berry Gordon’s management never properly promoted Kim Weston, for fear of overcrowding the pop scene with young black singers. Other than her duet on ‘It Takes Two’ with Marvin Gaye & the #5 hit below, ‘Take Me in Your Arms’, she didn’t get any of the airplay she deserves.
‘A Little More Love’, a UK hit never released in the US, with the performance filmed in London on the program ‘Ready Steady Go’.
